Depth of Field explained || photography tutorial

I read instruction manuals.  I always have.  When I open something up for the first time, I read the instruction manual.  When I am putting something together, I read the instructions.  In fact, when my hubby and I were engaged, we got a stool as a wedding shower gift and I wanted to put it together.  I took it out of the box and laid out all the pieces and unfolded the instructions and made sure I following the instructions step by step.  My hubby (fiance at the time) didn’t think I needed the instructions and proceeded to tell me how to put it together.  We ended up in a fight. Haha!

This video is a series of diagrams and drawings that are simple to understand.  Its like an instruction manual on Depth of Field.  Really, really easy to understand and it’s like a lightbulb went off in my head after watching this.

Using your Speedlite Outdoors || photography tutorial

This is a great video by AdoramaTV that explains and demonstrates how to use your Speedlight (Speedlite) outdoors.  Sometimes we have a nicely exposed background, but our subject may be underexposed or dark due to the sun backlighting our subject.

Thanks Mark Wallace!  He makes it look so easy!

TIP:  Aperture controls the flash output - Shutter controls the ambient light
